Since our government is speaking more and more about TRILLIONS of dollars, I thought I would look again to try and discover just what a trillion dollars looks like. This time I was able to get some better quality graphics to show a visual picture of just how much money we are talking about.
100 pennies, 20 nickels, 10 dimes or 4 quarters equals $1.00 (One) Dollar.
100 x $1.00 Bills equals $100 (One Hundred) Dollars.
100 x $100 Bills equals a $10,000 (Ten Thousand) Dollar packet.
100 packets x $10,000 each equals a $1,000,000 (One Million) Dollars stack.
100 stacks x $1,000,000 each equals a $100,000,000 (One Hundred Million) Dollars pallet.
10 pallets x $100,000,000 each equals $1,000,000,000 (One Billion) Dollars
10,000 pallets x $100,000,000 each (shown double stacked), equals $1,000,000,000,000 (ONE TRILLION) DOLLARS. Notice how tiny the person standing on the lower left appears.
